Workers at Huaxing Wanda Tire Co., Ltd. are busily working in the workshop.
During the depths of winter, while interviewing at Chaoyang Huaxing Wanda Tire Co., Ltd., located in the Chaoyang Beipiao Economic Development Zone, the reporter was drawn to the neatly arranged cars lining both sides of the factory entrance. According to Sun Hong, Director of the company's office, these vehicles—totaling over 400 units—are all personally purchased by the employees themselves. In recent years, as the company has steadily expanded its production scale, employee incomes have also risen annually. Currently, frontline workers enjoy an average monthly salary exceeding 2,800 yuan, with some earning more than 5,000 yuan. Meanwhile, management-level staff already earn over 10,000 yuan per month. As incomes continue to climb, the number of employees purchasing cars has grown steadily day by day.
It is the depths of winter, yet the production workshop is warmly inviting. As a high-tech enterprise in Liaoning Province, Huaxing Wanda Tire has recently leveraged the momentum of the "Belt and Road" initiative to aggressively expand both domestic and international markets. Currently, the company boasts an annual output value of 1 billion yuan, generating 30 million yuan in profits and taxes, while providing employment opportunities for 1,600 people. It has become the largest inner-tube manufacturer in China in terms of daily production capacity, with distribution centers established across 30 provinces and cities nationwide. Additionally, its products are exported to 16 countries and regions, including Russia, India, Pakistan, and various parts of Africa.
To further expand production capacity and capture a larger share of the market, in 2017, the company acquired four enterprises located near its existing facilities. Focused on tire manufacturing and its upstream and downstream supporting industries, the company is now fully committed to developing an automotive and motorcycle parts (tire) industrial park.
The project plans to invest a total of 700 million yuan, constructing factory buildings covering 80,000 square meters. Additionally, the company will introduce a new 70-ton heating boiler system and establish several advanced production lines, including: a daily output capacity of 40,000 motorcycle inner and outer tires, a yearly production line capable of manufacturing 500,000 tires, a 350,000-ton annual rubber powder production facility, and a daily output capacity of 50,000 cardboard boxes.
Furthermore, the project includes the construction of a new Rubber Research and Development Center, a comprehensive logistics hub, and a guesthouse along with other essential living amenities. Once the new production lines become operational by the end of 2018, the park is expected to achieve an annual output value of 1.61 billion yuan while providing employment opportunities for 1,850 people.
The company's head stated that the enterprise is currently conducting feasibility studies and surveys on several projects, including the cold patching pad renovation and expansion project, the solid tire project, the industrial conveyor belt project, and automotive steel plate screws. The company aims to leverage this opportunity over the next two to three years to establish itself as China's leading rubber industry base and build the largest tire industrial park in Northeast China.
